About Any Swing Goes

Brainchild of Douglas LeClair, Any Swing Goes is designed in an online magazine format and focuses on the revival swing, big band, jump blues and rockabilly music. Launched in August of 1997, it provides the latest in swing music news, swing dancing information, an online chat lounge and a comprehensive link directory of over three hundred swing-oriented links to other sites on the Internet.

In less than a year, Any Swing Goes has skyrocketed to nearly 9,000 vi sitors daily, and has become the premier source for swing on the Internet. It has been critically acclaimed in the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! Internet Life, and on CNNfn Digital Jam.

The web site’s name is a play off of a Cole Porter song titled " Anything Goes" and embodies the site’s theory that any type of swing music "goes".

In addition to working on the web site, LeClair regularly writes for M2, MTV’s twenty-four hour music and news station, MTV-Online, swing dance instructs, and deejay s professionally in San Diego. The content of the site is changed regularly.
