Through its strategic association with Amazon.com, self-proclaimed as the "Earth’s Biggest Bookstore", Any Swing Goes is able to provide its readers with an inventory of nearly three hundred swing, big band, surf and rockabilly compact discs and cassettes, most deeply discounted at 20% off list price. The web store also features discounted VHS video cassettes, and books pertaining to swing music, concerts, artist biographies, and even period fiction novels. The store allows users to search for releases, browse categorized listings by music genre, see cover art, read reviews of the albums, and RealAudio samples of tracks on the album. About Any Swing Goes The web site, designed in an online magazine format, focuses on swing, big-band, jump blues and rockabilly music. It provides swing music news, swing dancing information, an online chat lounge and a comprehensive link directory of over two hundred swing-oriented links to other sites on the Internet. The site is operated and run by 21-year old San Diego resident, Douglas LeClair. LeClair is a senior attending Point Loma University, a four-year San Diego school, and is majoring in mass communications. The web site’s name is a play off of a Cole Porter song titled "Anything Goes" and embodies the site’s theory that any type of swing music "goes". In addition to working on the web site, LeClair regularly writes for M2, MTV’s twenty-four hour music and news station, MTV-Online, and acts as the program director for his college’s radio station.
